Find exhibitors whose products and event plans provide a relevant starting point for a creative conversation. Use research to qualify the need before proposing production work.
When to use this workflow
Use this guide to research potential buyers for product films, technical explainers, launch assets, booth content, or onsite production. Choose the formats and industries your portfolio can credibly support.
Before you start
Review the event preview and available data before paying to unlock it. Event Access and Full Access include different sources; Visitor access requires an active paid subscription and available Visitor coverage. Contact reveal and message generation are separate actions. Review the current access and Credit cost shown in Lensmor before confirming.
Research a specific creative question
Product context. Review company descriptions and public product pages. Identify what a buyer or visitor may need to understand; do not invent a product claim.
Format fit. Decide whether your portfolio suggests a demo, explainer, interview, launch asset, or onsite coverage as a topic to discuss—not an assumed requirement.
Commissioning role. Research product marketing, brand, events, or related responsibilities. Confirm who owns the brief and budget.
Delivery feasibility. Check your own production schedule. For onsite work, confirm venue access, filming permissions, and practical requirements directly.
Step-by-step workflow
Choose your specialty and market. Identify the industries, products, geographies, and production formats that fit your portfolio. Find upcoming shows with enough time for your own creative and delivery process.
Research exhibitors and their products. Open Exhibitors and review descriptions, company websites, and public product information. Filter for compatible company criteria and save a reusable Target Group. Shortlist only companies whose story your team can help explain.
Identify the creative buyer. Use Attendees filters to research product marketing, brand, or events roles. Review Source evidence and current responsibilities, then selectively reveal useful contact details. Confirm who commissions creative work.
Pitch a researched question. Export the shortlist or use a configured integration. Reference the event and an actual product you researched. Ask whether a product demonstration, technical explainer, booth film, launch asset, or onsite coverage is planned. Qualify scope, budget, ownership, and delivery date in your sales workflow.
For the detailed controls, see Work with Exhibitors and Attendees and Save and Reuse Target Groups. Follow Reveal and Enrich Contact Data and Export Contacts when activating your shortlist.
What to prepare
Prepare company, researched product, event evidence, portfolio fit, proposed format to discuss, relevant role, and commissioning questions.
Prepare a creative-prospect brief
Include company, researched product, event context, relevant portfolio example, possible format, contact role, and the question to validate. Keep the creative idea short enough to discuss before writing a full proposal.
Qualify objective, audience, deliverables, approval process, rights, budget, and deadline in your own sales workflow. Event participation alone should not move a company into a committed production forecast.
Common questions
Can I assume exhibitors need a booth video?
No. Use the product and event context to ask a relevant question. Confirm whether new content is planned and what problem it needs to solve.
Does Lensmor send the pitch or manage the production?
This workflow supports prospect research and contact preparation. Send reviewed pitches through your own outreach tools and manage production separately.
Example
A technical-explainer studio can research an automation exhibitor’s product and ask product marketing whether a demonstration asset is planned for the show. For onsite work, confirm venue access and filming permissions. This is an illustrative workflow, not a customer result.
Check the evidence and limitations
Exhibitor sources connect companies to events. Signals reflect public event-related activity, not confirmed registration. Visitors are organizer or data-partner records where available. Historical attendance and enriched contacts do not establish future attendance, interest, or purchase intent. Review the attendee source guide before making claims in outreach.
Event participation does not establish an active video purchase or open creative budget. Lensmor supports client research and contact preparation; it does not send pitches, create client briefs, or deliver production work.
